Need to get a better handle on managing your fixed assets? We've just published a new whitepaper filled with practical tips for managing fixed assets, and the cost benefits of adding bar code data capture. (That "bar code" aspect really isn't a surprise, is it?)
Many businesses, regardless of their industry, have the need to manage their fixed assets. Fortunately, Microsoft Dynamics® GP offers strong fixed asset management capabilities. However, the upkeep and manual tracking of fixed assets can be unreliable and leave you with an inaccurate financial picture. Adding barcode data capture will dramatically improve your tracking efforts. Learn how to combine Dynamics® GP with the automated data capture of PanatrackerGP to create a simple and powerful platform for asset control.

Here's something I just ran across that is worth documenting and sharing.
Outlook (we use it, we love it) will occasionally "help" you by removing extra line breaks in the email messages. This is normally a good thing because it makes emails with many line breaks (or "carriage returns" for the older crowd) easier to read and more compact. However, it sometimes guesses wrong and combines lines that shouldn't be combined. This particularly happens when the lines have no period at the end of that line.

Many server-based applications have the capability to send an email to inform a user of an issue or status update. For example, our PanatrackerGP application has the ability to automatically send an email in the event of an eConnect problem while submitting a transaction. As an internal server, your Exchange server may be blocking the ability for your server to send to addresses OUTSIDE of your own domain. This is commonly referred to as "relaying" because you are relaying a message from an internal server to others outside of your email domain.
Configuring Exchange to allow relaying is a fairly simple process. Like any process, it seems to be easier with pictures. The Exchange Team Blog published a great article on this a while ago, and I find myself frequently sending this link to customers.
Here's a link to it: http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2006/12/28/3397620.aspx

There would be some who would think we got a little carried away with "logo-wear" for this year's Dynamics Convergence conference. They would be correct.
